The California Blinds Warranty

At California Blinds, we are incredibly confident in the workmanship and quality of all our blinds, which is why we provide an unmatched straightforward 5-year warranty on all purchases. We pride ourselves not only on our customer service but also on our component selection and focus on quality. We believe in a commonsense approach, but we need to clarify a few things that are not included in the warranty:

  • Accidents
  • Alterations
  • Misuse
  • Exposure to elements
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Non-domestic use

California Blinds (CB) extends an unmatched 5-year warranty on all blinds sold through our website. This warranty covers parts and components for regular wear and tear, including brackets, roller components, top tube, bottom bar, Venetian pulls and wands, slats, roller chains, chain links, bottom bars, motor, remote, cassette, internal components, strings, tapes, cords and the fabric – with the exception of fading, cuts and any self-made modifications.

Our 5-year warranty does not cover blinds fitted in non-domestic environments. CB is not responsible for any damage or injury resulting from the installation of these blinds in such settings. We supply blinds for residential use within the UK. Therefore, hotels, hostels, schools, B&B’s, holiday lets, overseas locations, etc., are not covered under this warranty.

The warranty does not cover damages such as red wine spills on the fabric or your dog chewing the wooden slats. If you notice any issues with your blinds upon installation, please inform us as soon as possible - ideally within 7 days of delivery.

Any self-made modifications to the blinds will void our warranty. Each case will be evaluated individually, but remember that all blinds are made to measure according to your specific size requirements at the time of order, and any modifications will nullify the warranty.

Blinds may need to be returned to CB for inspection before a replacement or repair is provided, at the customer's expense. Prior to this, we will need photographs to help our quality control team with their inspections.

CB is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, or for any other direct or indirect damage, loss, cost, expense, or fee. Misuse or incorrect installation will also void the CB 5-year warranty. Each case will be considered individually.

This warranty is exclusive and replaces all other obligations, liabilities or warranties. It does not affect the consumer's statutory rights under applicable national laws in force.
